Hello everyone! My name is Juliette Cabrera and I am the mathematics coach at Jose Marti STEM Academy. I have been in mathematics education for 12 years, 7 of those years was teaching at Jose Marti Freshmen Academy, Algebra I, and the last 5 years I have been the mathematics coach for both Jose Marti Freshman and STEM Academy. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics Education and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics, both from New Jersey City University. I am part of many Mathematics organizations such as The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and NCSM: Leadership in Mathematics Education that provide me with opportunities for continual growth in my field to help my students and teachers provide the best learning experiences possible. My job as the mathematics coach is to provide support to both teachers and students to help improve the learning of mathematics in the classroom. I work closely with students, faculty, and administration to optimize the classroom experiences and ensure success.
