Up against the best schools in the state, our students earned two first place awards, seven second place awards and two third-place awards. The first and second place winners are invited to represent New Jersey at the National competition next year in Boston.
“The results show that our students can compete with the best students in New Jersey,” says Superintendent of Schools Silvia Abbato, “and we look forward to supporting them in next year’s nationwide competition.”

The José Martí STEM Academy has the largest number of students who will represent the state at the 161st Annual National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science that will take place in Boston on April 26-28. Congratulations to all!
